"The Outskirts" is a retro-style role-playing game that combines horror and comedy elements.

The game's story revolves around the player's character, a clown, and his dog Pupperoni, on their way to entertain at a children's birthday party when they get into a car accident. After locating a replacement vehicle, the clown discovers that his beloved dog has been kidnapped by the residents of a bizarre town.

 The gameplay mechanics require basic knowledge of RPG Maker games, with no natural level-up system. Instead, the player can choose to upgrade their skills using EXP which doubles as the in-game currency. Players must decide wisely whether to invest their hard-earned EXP in essential items like medkits or in skill upgrades like health, much like in "Parasite Eve 2."

With a playtime of approximately 90 minutes, "The Outskirts" is a reboot of a comic series that has gone by several different titles (including "KID & HANNIBAL" and "FLINT C.W. & RABBIT-MAN"), and is created with the RPGMaker VX Ace engine. The game features adventure, action, shooter, and "Undertale"-like elements, offering an intriguing and unique gaming experience.
